Powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor at 2.0 GHz with up to 8 GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64 GB eMMC storage, the EG3120e is designed for applications that need more than simple connectivity. It can run local workloads, protocol conversion, data collection, buffering, and edge applications closer to industrial equipment, reducing reliance on external PCs or separate serial concentrators where the application requirements fit the device.
Built on RobustOS Pro, based on Debian 11, the EG3120e gives developers access to familiar Linux tools, standard programming languages, APT/DPKG package management, and a broader software ecosystem for building and deploying edge applications.
For OT integration, the EG3120e supports up to 4 × RS-485, 1 × RS-232, 4 × DI, 4 × DO, 2 × AI, and 1 × CAN, making it well suited to industrial environments with meters, inverters, machinery, controllers, sensors, and legacy field devices.
For connectivity, the EG3120e supports LTE Cat 4, 1 × Mini SIM, 1 × MFF2 eSIM, SGP.22 eSIM profile download and removal operations, 2 × Ethernet, and Wi-Fi 6. This gives OEMs, system integrators, and industrial operators a flexible platform for connecting equipment locally while maintaining remote access, monitoring, and cellular lifecycle control.
The Robustel EG3120e extends industrial connectivity with edge computing capabilities for local data processing, protocol integration, and application hosting. Powered by a quad-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 processor and with up to 8 GB of RAM, the EG3120e is not just a router—it provides an industrial Linux-based edge platform capable of running local applications and data analytics closer to field devices.
At its core lies RobustOS Pro, an advanced operating system built on Debian 11 (Bullseye). This open Linux environment helps developers reduce dependency on proprietary development frameworks, offering native support for standard programming languages (C, C++, Java, Python, Node.js) and access to thousands of existing Debian packages. Whether deploying custom edge logic or utilizing pre-built apps from the Robustel Cloud Management System (RCMS), the EG3120e bridges the gap between OT protocols and IT flexibility.
